Elizabeth Street Café

A month or so back, while in Austin shooting with photographer Michael A Muller for the summer issue of Refueled, I finally experienced breakfast at Elizabeth Street Café.

Michael and I are both huge breakfast lovers, so we met early, said hello to what seemed like everyone we knew in town, settled in at a small round table in the beautiful garden patio, ordered and talked about everything from photography, design, publishing, music and style - all things we're passionate about.

Elizabeth Street Café was opened in December 2011 by chefs Larry McGuire & Tommy Moorman and the team behind Lamberts Downtown Barbecue and Perlas Seafood & Oyster Bar. After fancy barbecue and preppy seafood the duo found themselves eating and craving pho, báhn mì, bún, and spring rolls and wanting it in their South Austin neighborhood.

Order: Vietnamese Coffee, Stumptown dripped into a cup of sweetened condensed milk. Sticky rice with ginger sausage and poached eggs, herb salad, XO sauce.
