SXSW 2010 was a huge success for Refueled. So many people to thank and acknowledge. My Refueled Films crew, Gus Schmiege & Lan Freedman, two of the best in the biz. They had me in and out of every interview in a smooth flow. Thanks guys.
We met up with Jay Carroll and his rad girlfriend/tattoo artist Hanna for our interview on Friday. We all became fast friends as we told stories over coffee, wandered around the Levi’s Fort, sat and talked One Trip Pass, the open road, collecting, Levi’s 501’s and tattoos. We all ended a very busy day of interviews/photo shoots relaxing backstage at Amy Cook’s & Alejandro Escovedo’s sets at South X San Jose. Jay, your generosity was truly appreciated.
Levi’s PR & Brand Marketing Director Erica Archambault and Levi's Marketing Manager Megan Wright hosted us at the Levi’s/Fader Fort. With their down home charm and laid back vibe, you would have thought they were true Texas girls. Thank you both. Megan you did a rad job with Erica's cool, hippie braids.
My friends, hotelier/creative Liz Lambert and STAG co-owner/ San Jose GM Bobby Johns, hosted Refueled during South X San Jose and let us invade the Hotel San Jose’s lobby during our interviews. It became our “official” SXSW headquarters. Watch for both of them in Refueled’s “Behind-the-Cover” series speaking about Jay Carroll’s style & blog.
To the many, many people we met along the way, on the streets, in the venues, who introduced themselves - it was a pleasure. Hope you all stay in touch.
