2010 has been an incredible year for myself and Refueled, Inc., a company which began with publishing but now includes film and design.

I met and collaborated with the most amazing people, shared thoughts and ideas and have grown immensely as a creative director.

The day I began planning the 2010 Spring/Summer issue of Refueled magazine and the crew headed out on the road, I knew the magazine had changed. The right creative mix of contributors, writers & photographers had fallen together all at once. I felt in my gut that I was finally capturing the magazine I had envisioned from the start. And thankfully the readers agreed. Issue five quickly spread and garnered more views, downloads & press then any other issue to date, and issue six, just released, 2010 Fall/Winter edition is blowing up big time. The first issue of 2011, Spring/Summer, is already well in the works.

Refueled Films premiered a new video series titled {Automatic Buzz} which saw rad sessions with musicians such as Heartless Bastard’s Erika Wennerstrom, Cory Chisel, William Fiztsimmons, Monahans and Isaac Russell, to name only a few. The series also captured raw moments with such stylemakers as Natalie Chanin, Jay Carroll and Matt & Carrie Eddmenson.

Refueled Designs handled the creative on several projects in devolvement with high-profile film producers & directors such as Steve Reiss, Mark Jeremias & Doug Pray.

I’m super stoked for the new year! Looking forward to hitting the road with Refueled senior photographer Gustav Schmiege and announcing soon the direction that Refueled, Inc. will be heading in 2011. Stay tuned.

Have a great new year and take along the words of Jack London with you:

I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.
